Madison Capitols Hockey Team to wear Green Skate Laces for Mental Health

The Madison Capitols hockey team will sport green skate laces on Friday, November 14 to support and raise mental health awareness! The team expects a large crowd for their face-off against rival team, the Green Bay Gamblers. Join NAMI Wisconsin and the Madison Capitols in their efforts to educate the community about mental illness.

The USHL is the premier development league for the world’s top junior-age hockey players to advance to the NHL and NCAA Division 1 Hockey. The Madison Capitols – residing in home city Madison, Wisconsin – are the league's newest team and will compete for the first time in the 2014 USHL season and play its home games at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in the Alliant Energy Center.

The Madison Capitols ownership group includes former University of Wisconsin and current NHL star defensemen, Ryan Suter, and former Wisconsin Badger hockey player, Tom Sagissor.  With a team of leaders who knows the game and business of hockey, and a city whose hockey scene is rapidly growing and has an appetite for more, the Madison Capitols are primed and committed to success.

The Capitols are proud to be active members of the Madison community and are excited for this opportunity to support NAMI Wisconsin and mental health. Don't miss this fun-filled night!
