NAMI Wisconsin is seeking proposals from qualified professionals, experts, peers and leaders in the mental health field for the statewide Annual Conference 2016!
The conference theme, Connecting Heart to Heart, envelops the core principles of emotional CPR. It is meant to teach people how to form supportive connections that empower them to assume meaningful roles in their community, as well as teach people how to assist others to feel more hopeful and engaged in life. Our goal is to bring a whole new audience to the conference, including mental health providers and leaders, social workers and clinicians in addition to consumers and family members and allow all these people to learn under one roof, side by side. We are accepting workshop proposals that relate to this theme and general proposals that relate to mental illness from a professional, individual or family member perspective. Conference attendees include a mix of individuals affected by mental illness, their family members and mental health professionals.
All proposals will be carefully reviewed by a committee of the NAMI Wisconsin Board of Directors and will be selected based on demand for topic, benefit of workshop to intended audience and speaker credentials.
Submission Deadline: November 6.
