Thank you for your interest in presenting at the NAMI Wisconsin Annual Conference 2019. We appreciate your support and dedication to bettering the mental health system.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
NAMI Wisconsin is seeking proposals from qualified professionals, experts, peers, and leaders in the mental health field to present at the statewide Annual Conference 2019. The conference theme, One Mind, One Community, will focus on advocacy as it relates to diversity inclusion. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to celebrate the many diversities in the mental health system, while also learning how to make it more inclusive. The event will once again host a large variety of audiences, including mental health providers, leaders, social workers, clinicians, government officials, criminal justice partners, consumers, and family members. Mental health advocates from all over the state are welcome to attend.
We are now accepting workshop proposals that relate to mental illness from a professional, individual, or family member perspective. Conference attendees include a mix of individuals affected by mental illness, their family members, and mental health professionals.
All proposals will be carefully reviewed by the Conference Planning Committee of the NAMI Wisconsin Board of Directors. Decisions will be based on the demands for the topic, benefit of the workshop, and the overall speaker credentials. This will take place in December.
DEADLINE AND SUBMISSIONS
Proposals are due to NAMI Wisconsin by Monday, November 19th. The Conference Committee will review all received applications and notified chosen speakers in the beginning of December.
1. Conference workshops will be publicized in our bi-monthly newsletter, on the NAMI Wisconsin website, and social media feeds and may use your picture or company's logo if publicly available.
2. All workshops are 75 minutes in length.
3. Those chosen to present at the conference will be able to attend at no cost for registration on the day you present. Speakers are NOT compensated or reimbursed for food, travel, hotel or other expenses by NAMI Wisconsin.
4. Please note: If your proposal is accepted, all information that you provide on this proposal will be reiterated to you and confirmed when the event gets closer.
