We want YOU to be part of NAMI Wisconsin's statewide Community Quilt!
This Mental Illness Awareness Week, NAMI Wisconsin staff wanted to create something visual that really captures personality and identity from all over Wisconsin and brings it together. We decided to build a paper "quilt" that will symbolize the bond we have as community members, friends and supporters. Each piece of a quilt tells a story, and when we bring everyone’s stories together it will remind us that we are all working towards one vision and that each piece is important in our journey to a better life for those affected by mental illness.
Find our quilt piece template below, download it, print it and start designing—color, paint, sketch, collage—your piece! The sky is the limit. Then turn your finished piece into your local affiliate or the NAMI Wisconsin office by Nov. 15. NAMI Wisconsin’s local affiliates will also have blank pieces of the quilt out at their Mental Illness Awareness Week events.
The whole finished quilt will be showcased at the 2016 Annual Conference, on our website and in our office! We hope you can join in on the celebration.
